Self Portraits and Selfies first seem like the same thing, but they are very different in more ways they are similar. Some things they have in common is that they are both the owner of the phone/ camera, and the person can do whatever they want in both. Despite these common points, like I said, they are very different. Here is why...

Self Portrait 

~More professional 

~Can be used for competitions 

~Fun in a more serious way

~Captures the personality of someone

~More emotions can be shown
~Most only have the photographer (No one else)
~Need to set up camera and have a good place to shoot

Selfie

~Casual 

~Used for social media

~Fun (a "just cause" kind)

~Not as much personality is shown

~Less emotion is shown

~Can be with friends
~Can take pictures in an instant
